Bryan Powell is a visionary creative director and mentor with nearly three decades of multi-disciplinary experience in digital product design. As the founder of Powell Design in 2004, Bryan has consistently demonstrated his ability to turn complex design challenges into meaningful, innovative solutions. His broad experience spans various industries, from entertainment and healthcare to finance and luxury goods, designing elegant user interfaces for nearly every type of screen and platform.
As a well-rounded design leader, Bryan has designed experiences on a wide array of platforms, including mobile and tablet applications, interactive television, web applications, and wearables. His expertise extends across various industries such as consumer electronics, entertainment, industrial applications, IoT, medical devices, healthcare, luxury products, defense, finance, science, and engineering. This diverse background equips him with a unique perspective, allowing him to deliver innovative solutions tailored to each industry’s specific needs.
Throughout his illustrious career, Bryan Powell has held pivotal roles at several renowned companies, each contributing significantly to his expertise in digital product design. At Vertu, he served as the Interactive Design Manager, where he crafted the vertu.com website and user interfaces for luxury mobile phones, seamlessly blending hardware and software to enhance user experiences. As a Creative Director at Pittard Sullivan, Bryan led the design of numerous award-winning websites and convergent media projects for high-profile clients such as ABC, Oscars.com, and Fandango. His tenure at Cow saw him direct innovative website projects, including Kahlua.com, while at AND Interactive, he spearheaded interface designs for broadband applications for companies like @Home and the Getty. These diverse experiences have solidified Bryan’s reputation as a versatile and visionary leader in the digital design landscape.
Bryan graduated with honors with a BFA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. During his time as a student, he was selected as an ambassador of the school to present his work at a multimedia design conference in Kitakyushu, Japan.

The Vertu.com website received Yahoo!’s “Pick of the Week” and Shockwave’s “Shocked Site of the Day” awards. The Fox Family website won an International Monitor Award for Best Website and was featured in How Magazine Design Annual. His work on the US Senior Open Website, Kahlua.com, and cow.com has been highlighted in several design books, including “The Web Design WOW Book,” “New Design – Los Angeles,” and “Creativity, Innovative Ways to Build Great Design.”

Chase Willie is an award winning designer with a broad creative background, holding over 10 years of experience in graphic design and visual story telling. He contributes a unique perspective to any team by discovering and strategically incorporating insights that enhance user workflows.
Intention is at the heart of Chase’s work. From icon design to complex system design, he understands that there is no room for details without purpose. His work is supported by a curiosity that leads to the most important question; why? The result is a progressive take on appropriate design solutions for clients and end users alike.
Chase’s work is rooted in and inspired by the outdoors. He uses his unique story telling skills in videography, photography, and graphic design to help users authentically connect with brands such as Outside Magazine, New Balance, and Garmin. He is an avid cyclist and trail runner, using both as brainstorming techniques to work out solutions to complex problems.
With career foundations in marketing and public relations from his time at Thorpe Marketing, Chase pivoted to his strength of design with a position at Primal Wear Inc. There, he quickly promoted from an Associate to Senior Design position as he streamlined workflows, acted as the liaison between the design team and clients, and planned seasonal releases for Primal Wear’s apparel lines. Upon leaving Primal Wear, Chase co-founded his media company, Chasing Jo. Chase’s experience in story telling and graphic design is a powerful combination for impactful User Experience Design.
Chase graduated with distinction from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received a BS in Strategic Communication, Media Design. His formal education included a Minor in Leadership Studies under the esteemed Presidents Leadership Class, as well as a minor in Creative Technology and Design.
Although Chase designs for solutions, not awards, recognition is always a plus. He’s had the pleasure of designing several award winning pieces in the search for creative solutions for clients’ problems. The Denver One Club for Creativity has recognized Chase three times for his creative concepts and designs, regarding advertising campaigns for The North Face, Duolingo, and Budweiser.
Wicar Akhtar is a senior technical leader, specializing in product development with a strong focus on technology implementation and innovation. With over 18 years of experience across the full product lifecycle, Wicar excels at bringing complex technical concepts to life, from initial product vision and strategy to hands-on prototyping, feature specification, and detailed design execution. His hands-on approach ensures that technology integration aligns with business objectives while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with modern engineering.
Wicar has demonstrated mastery in a wide range of programming languages, software tools, and application environments. His expertise includes leading the development and deployment of scalable cloud applications, advanced mobile technologies, big data analytics, AI-driven systems, process automation, and dynamic data visualization platforms. Wicar’s strong technical background allows him to evaluate emerging technologies, build prototypes and rapidly implement innovative solutions that meet both technical and business requirements.
Wicar’s past experience includes leadership roles at companies like DeepMile, Nokia, Vertu, Comcast, and Yahoo, where he successfully launched and scaled products across various platforms, including mobile, cloud, and cybersecurity solutions. Notably, he co-founded a cybersecurity startup focused on AI-driven threat detection, developing innovative technologies that enhance security for smart devices.
Wicar has been instrumental in designing user experience strategies, particularly in mobile, cloud, and SaaS environments. He has worked closely with hardware and software engineering teams, overseeing the development of applications for iOS, Android, cloud-based SaaS applications, QT, and Linux-based platforms.
